The Alchemist

I just finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, one of the greatest authors of our time. I know it's been out in the market long ago but just recently, a friend of mine suggested it for me to read since we had a little chat about how I fantasize books and inspirational words from people.

As I was reading, I am writting down some of the lines I find really inspiring in this book. Now, I am off to share it here on my blog.

When we first begin our fight for our dreams, we have no experience and make many mistakes. The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.
If you believe yourself worthy of the thing you fought so hard to get, then you become an instrument of God, you help the Soul of the World, and you understand why you are here.
They come in search of new things, but when they leave they are basically the same person they were when they arrived.
The problem is that they don't even realize that they are walking a new road every day. They don't see that the fields are new and the season's change.
It is the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.
It is the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary; only wise men are able to understand them.
When someone sees the same person everyday, they wind up becoming a part of the person's life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn't others want them to be, the others become angry.Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none of his or her own.
That's the first page on my journal. I will be posting the rest tomorrow. I hope you enjoy reading! Get inspired..
